Position Description
DESCRIPTION:
The Communications department of MNFurs is responsible for being the outward voice of the organization. This role works closely with the Events department to ensure events are listed on the website in a timely manner, as well as relaying information to our members, whether that be upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, or MNFurs operational information. Staff with this role are often responsible for creating what becomes the first impression a new member will have of the organization, and as such are expected to be well-written, professional, and friendly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Events department to accurately list approved events on the website and create any required RSVPs.
Create social media posts for upcoming events, including the graphics that go with them.
Monitor social media to engage with members and answer questions as they arise.
Accurately and succinctly relay important information, including time sensitive. information, on multiple social media platforms.
Manually post event reminders to the Discord server.
INTERESTED?
Because this position is integral to several outward facing parts of the organization, a strong grasp of writing and professionalism is required. You must be in good standing with both the organization AND in the Discord to qualify. The use of AI is not acceptable for this position.
